"Dank You!"

I have to blog about some of the cute things Max and Madison are saying!

Max has been really using his manners lately saying "Dank you" and "No, dank you." It is about the cutest thing ever heard!

This morning he started doing what I remember Maddie doing when she was a baby: Tossing things are the floor and saying "uh oooh, uh oooh!"

Last night Madison said very seriously as we were watching the fireworks from Fiesta Texas, "Mom.....I really, really want to go to Wiesta Texas."

Also this past week, Madison created her own word when she said: "I want to go swimming Nexterday, mommy." I assume that means tomorrow???
A bedtime conversation with Madison that I never want to forget goes like this:
Me: "Oh Madison, look! I think you got another angel kiss on your nose!" (a freckle!) Did you feel her wings flutter on your forehead?" (At this time a do a little tickle on her forehead with my fingers)
Madison: "I want to fly too. I want to fly with Jesus! He can have red wings. I can have pink wings. I like pink. Mommy, you can have green wings and Daddy can have blue wings."
One day we all will fly with Jesus. What a sweet exclamation from the mouth of a 3 year old!

I won!

So I enter into this contest on my friend Stephanie's blog, http://www.thegorenablog.com/. I like reading her blog. She makes me smile :) I peek in every now and then and on this one particular day she was having a give away. There were these super cute green apple baking dishes. I entered not thinking much of it. Then I get a comment on one of my posts on Friday from Stephanie telling me I won!! I am super excited not only because of the baking dishes but because I won and I haven't won anything in a looong time! My lasagna and brownies will be feeling mighty special in these pretty new dishes!

Aren't they too cute???

Max, the Escapee

This morning I heard Max crying so I went to go get him out of his crib but when I opened the door there he was on the floor with his toys all over the place! Tomorrow Max will be 20 months old. This was the same age Madison starting hoisting herself out of her crib. I put him back in his crib so I could see how well he had mastered this skill. As you can tell from the pictures, he is quite the agile little monkey! I just hope this new found skill does not mess with his sleeping...or mine! He went to sleep just fine for his nap this afternoon but we'll see how tonight goes. When Madison started crawling out of her crib she did not want to stay in it and no one got any sleep. I praised the day that her crib tent came in. She thought it was cool and it kept her in her crib. I kept it just case I was blessed with another fearless, adventuresome child.

Hi, my name is Lisa. I am writing this blog to share with you, my family and friends, the blessings God has poured out on me. I feel so fortunate to have the husband that I have and these two amazingly beautiful children that have stolen my heart. Every day is so precious and it brings new stories, adventures, laughter and challenges. I hope I can capture some of our life on this blog to share with you and I'd love to hear from each of you as well.
