I think about Max...

Another fun conversation with Madison occurred tonight.

Me: Madison, you have school tomorrow!

Madison: I love school, I love school, I love school!

Me: What do you love about school?

Madison: I love to get a tray!

Me: What else do you love?

Madison: I love to sleep! That's when I think about Max.

Skin on Skin Time

About a month or so ago I explained to Madison that it is important for new babies to have "skin on skin time" with their mommy and daddy. I'm not sure how this conversation came about. The nurses in the hospital had stressed this to me for bonding purposes. Anywho...Madison has decided that it is not only for babies and that she would like skin on skin time with her mama! She lifts up her shirt and mine and she lays her bare tummy on mine. I think this is so precious. I don't ever want to forget it.

Late for School

I can't believe I haven't blogged in over a year! I do believe it is facebook's fault. It has become my outlet where I am able to share with friends and family pictures and funny quotes from Madison and Max. However, it dawned on me that I want these special moments not just on fb but archived here on our family blog. A sweet conversation with my daughter the second week of kindergarten motivated me to action. It goes like this:

I say, " Madison, let's go. We are going to be late for school."

We hurry to the car. Madison gets buckled up, then says with a big smile "I like being late for school!"

me: "What do you mean???"

Madison: "I get to spend more time with mommy!"

Okay, we'll run late for school anytime you want! :)

Hi, my name is Lisa. I am writing this blog to share with you, my family and friends, the blessings God has poured out on me. I feel so fortunate to have the husband that I have and these two amazingly beautiful children that have stolen my heart. Every day is so precious and it brings new stories, adventures, laughter and challenges. I hope I can capture some of our life on this blog to share with you and I'd love to hear from each of you as well.
